The cottage
‘Brideswell Cottage’ is a charming renovated stone outbuilding set in a unique and quiet rural setting. Local records show by name the occupants of the site as far back as the year 1700, but other evidence exists which might suggest that the site has been part of a working farm for many years prior to that.
Access to ‘Brideswell Cottage’ is via a 750m long and winding old cart track. In spring, the lane is flush with wild primroses and miniature violets, and the wild flowers and grasses continue to flourish throughout the seasons.
It is an ideal base for walking or bird watching and is also within easy driving of the coast and the Wicklow mountains.
The cottage is centrally located, approx. 1.25 hrs. from the port of Rosslare, 1 hr. Wexford town, 1 hr. Carlow, 1 hr. Kilkenny City and approx. 1.5 hrs. Dublin city.
